Teaching tips and techniques for pre-primary teachers

Teaching very young learners is both a joy and a challenge. How can we create positive experiences for teachers and learners in the classroom? How can we make teaching more enjoyable and rewarding? In my recent webinar I explore some of my favourite activities: stories, songs, projects and games; and techniques for pre-primary teachers that can be adapted with a few materials at hand. We end with some classroom management tips. Below are a few of the ideas presented in the talk.

1. Start with your gifts and talents

Gifts and talents are tools for living; they help us to be our unique self and a unique teacher, too. Are you highly sensitive? You will sense how children are feeling. Do you pay attention to details? Your class will be rewarded with a great progression of activities. Perhaps you’re motivated and able to keep up with an abundance of energy and the fast pace of the pre-primary classroom!
