‘GloCALL 2014’, Ahmedabad, October 9-11

Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sheth R.A College of Arts And Commerce (Ahmedabad) is organizing Eighth Joint International Conference from 9th -11th October 2014 at  Bhavan’s College Campus. The theme of the conference is ‘COMPUTER-ASSISTED LANGUAGE LEARNING’.

Computer has become a language in itself. Today Computer Assisted teaching has become a challenge for faculty and students both. There are new technologies and concepts which are becoming more and more frequent in teaching and learning process.

All over the globe and in India the grants, endowments and finances are available for Institutions to be enriched in ICT environment by using more and more IT based equipment like laptop/ Desktop/ White Board/ Skype based lectures and online tools, software and lecture techniques like YouTube and virtual classrooms.

It’s time to initiate a learning process about how we can enhance the use of ICT or Computer Assisted learning environment in Humanities, Social Sciences and Languages.

To upkeep the trend for the first time in Indian Continent an International Conference is organized jointly by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sheth R A College of Arts and Commerce, Ahmedabad and GloCALL, an international organization to promote Computer assisted language learning. (Language here means computer language and not limited to Bhasha in general terms.)

September 15              : Release of a preliminary conference program
September 30              : Deadline for regular pre-registration
October 9                     : Pre-conference workshops
October  10-11            : Plenary & concurrent sessions

Research Students    : Rs 1500/-

Virtual Presentation : Rs 900/-
