 ELTWeekly Vol. 4 Issue#31 | July 30, 2012 | ISSN 0975-3036

Oxford University Press is holding the ‘CLIL for Younger Learners’ webinar on September 20 & October 18, 2012.

The OUP team says, “CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) is perfectly suited to young learners who like learning by ‘doing’.

Join Sarah Phillips, author of Incredible English, with a special interest in CLIL, as she considers:

a) Why teaching other subjects can enrich the primary language classroom
b) How we can incorporate CLIL into our lessons

Sarah will use examples from her new edition of Incredible English in the webinar”.

About the speaker

Sarah Phillips is the main author of Incredible English. She is especially interested in CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) and in applying brain-based learning approaches to materials for young English language learners.

She lives in Galicia in the north-west of Spain. At the moment she spends most of her time writing, but she is a teacher and a teacher trainer too. She has worked extensively with Ministries, teachers’ organisations and teacher training centres in Spain and the rest of Europe, including NILE and the British Council. She has written Young Learners and Drama with Children in the OUP Resource Books series and has recently finished the second edition of Incredible English.
