OUP is hosting a webinar with Ritsuko Nakata on February 23, 2013. The webinar is on ‘Getting students to answer questions in full sentences’.
‘Yes! No! Spaghetti!’ Are these the kind of answers you get from your students when you ask them a question? Single words, instead of ‘Yes, I do!’, ‘No, I don’t!’, or ‘I like spaghetti.’ I think we all want our students to be able to answer in full sentences.
Join me in in this free webinar to:
- Learn how you can get your students to answer in full sentences
- Find out how your students can answer YES/NO questions using the auxiliary verbs easily
- See how using a simple technique with flash cards will get students answering without hints from their teacher.
About the Speaker
Ritsuko Nakata has more than 30 years’ teaching experience and specializes in training teachers of children in Japan. She is passionate about getting children to learn English in more practical, effective ways.
She has found that all students need to really ‘use’ the language to see how it works. This observation has led her to develop her own method, the MAT (Model, Action, Talk) METHOD, which uses unique techniques to get students speaking confidently in natural English, and using all four skills, rather than just repeating. Some of her techniques are used in Let’s Go, one of the world’s best-selling English courses for children, which she co-authored. Ritsuko conducts seminars and workshops throughout Asia.
