A Book Smarts Podcast featuring a helpful way to better understand what you read. I made this podcast for the Instructional Theory and Design class at Texas Tech University. The podcast was entered into the school-wide podcast tournament and was chosen a finalist for the national podcasting tournament.
Studies show that less than 10% of classroom time is spent teaching students how to learn effectively. Teachers think students have more advanced reading, writing, and math skills and do not feel the need to teach them how to improve these skills. However, more time spent teaching these skills in fun and creative can really help students learn, and enjoy learning more. Hopefully this podcast helps everyone read better, more often, and with more enjoyment.
