The Lancaster University Postgraduate Conference in Linguistics and Language Teaching is organized by postgraduate students under the auspices of the Department of Linguistic and English Language, Lancaster University. The postgraduate conference aims to offer the opportunity for postgraduate students from various areas in linguistics and language teaching/assessment to come together to present papers related to their research and to exchange ideas.
Invited Keynote Speakers
The Head of Department, Professor Greg Myers will be opening the conference, and this year’s keynote speeches will be given by Distinguished Professors Ruth Wodak (Lancaster University) and Doctor Jane Sunderland (Lancaster University).

The conference will be held at the George Fox Building, Lancaster University, on Thursday, 02 July 2009.

2009 Language and Language Teaching Conference (LLTC), August 14, Thailand
Background:
The Language and Language Teaching Conference (LLTC), originally Southern Thailand English Language Teaching Conference, will be organized every two years. It will serve as a meeting place for regional, national, and international language and language teaching professionals and scholars to exchange ideas and practices and disseminate their research about issues and concerns in language and language teaching. Featuring an inspiring, thought-provoking keynote speech, paper, poster and workshop sessions, and excellent book exhibits, the LLTC promises plenty of opportunities for developing and fostering networks both at a casual and at a professional level.Conference Themes:

EAQUALS AGM and Conference: 23-25 April 2009, Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey
The 2009 EAQUALS AGM and Conference will take place between 23rd and 25th April in Istanbul. The event will be hosted by one of the Turkish Accredited members of EAQUALS, Istanbul Bilgi University’s English Language Programs Department who are actively involved in the planning and preparations as well.
