Vol. 4 Issue 28 – English Language Centre’s ‘Teach Abroad Scholarship’ Program

ELTWeekly Vol. 4 Issue#28 | July 9, 2012 | ISSN 0975-3036

The English Language Centre team says, “As a Social Enterprise, all our profits are reinvested back into providing employment and training opportunities. As part of this commitment, we are able to offer a number of Full Scholarships for our Flagship TEFL Diploma Programme.

Although primarily aimed at unemployed Graduates, Undergraduates are also eligible to apply for a Scholarship and final year students in particular are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility

  • Native English speaker
  • Graduate or Undergraduate
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiasm about living and working abroad.

Applications will be judged on their own merits and we do not wish to be overly prescriptive in terms of what we are looking for. Essentially, we want to know why you want to teach abroad and why you believe you should receive a Full Scholarship place. Enthusiasm and commitment are more important than previous teaching experience (though that may also be taken into account), and we would like to encourage as many people as possible from all disciplines to apply”.
