ELTWeekly Vol. 4 Issue#19 | May 7, 2012 | ISSN 0975-3036

The conference is aimed at exploring the interface between the teaching of English and employability skills in the context of Gujarat in India. English has long been seen as a tool of empowerment and equity, and within this globalised world, it is fast becoming a necessary tool to interact with people, transact views, and create a sense of community. It is with this in focus that the conference would deal with the points of convergence between the ELT community and efforts made in the direction of disseminating English for empowering communities in different facets of academic and commercial gains.
