The Global Digital English Language Learning Market is expected to grow at a CAGR 12.96 percent from 2014-2019, says research firm TechNavio.

The number of people learning the English language in 2014 was over one billion and this number is expected to double in the next four years. Globalization and urbanization have enabled exposure to English, and better access to educational institutions, coupled with government efforts in promoting learning will help boost the market in coming years.

“There is an increased need for English learning among non-native speakers who immigrate to countries where English is the native language, which has resulted in the growth of the number of English language learners,” says Faisal Ghaus, Vice President of TechNavio.

The latest report from TechNavio highlights digital language learning and teaching techniques that have undergone major improvements in recent years. These techniques are constantly evolving and becoming increasingly sophisticated by harnessing advanced technology.
